Catharsis — Typographic Exploration

For this first exploration, I used Catharsis by Kuko as the starting point for a custom typographic title. Rather than recreating any existing visual elements from the song, the goal was to translate its atmosphere and emotional weight into a graphic language of my own.

The process focused on capturing the tension and intensity that I associate with the track. Through distorted letterforms, expressive shapes, and a more experimental composition, I explored how typography alone could communicate a similar feeling without relying on the original artwork.

This piece also became an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. Instead of following the cleaner and more graphic direction that often appears in my work, I intentionally pushed towards a darker, more alternative aesthetic. The result is a visual interpretation that feels rawer, and more emotionally driven, while still remaining rooted in my own design language.

Surrender — Typographic Exploration

For this exploration, I used Surrender by Ueberrest a study on the meaning of the word itself. The concept was developed through layering, allowing the letterforms to gradually lose structure and control. The typography was designed to embody the act of surrendering as the forms overlap and dissolve, the word shifts from something readable into something more instinctive and symbolic, reflecting ideas of release, acceptance, and transformation.
